Navigating through screens on a BlackBerry can be a tedious and maddening experience if you have more than a few apps you like to go to regularly.

The time it takes to go from folder to folder can be annoying, as can having a bunch of icons to navigate through to get to what you want.

Clearly I wasn’t the only one who felt this way, and thanks to QuickLaunch by Nikkisoft, all of the programs and applications you need can be attached to a convenience key, where they are listed and easily accessed by letter.

As you can see with my configuration, I have the 3rd party apps I use most up top, and the BB apps I use most down bottom.

What makes this so great is the ability to put all the things you need on your homescreen. No real need to scroll or hit the menu key or navigate folders.

The list is far more customizable than how I have it set up. You can add sub menus along with the regular menu items, access your contacts individually, and also separate everything in your list.

Say you text or email the same few people regularly-add their SMS or email to your QL bar and you don’t even have to open the messaging function. It will take you straight to a new “pre addressed” SMS or email.

There is also the option to open new contacts without navigating to the address book.

In addition, there is a setting to silence the camera shutter, get device info without going through all the options, reboot without physically pulling the battery, and an integrated google search.

This is easily one of the most user friendly and useful applications available to BlackBerry users that I’ve ever tried. So much so that I refuse to use my Berry without it. It just makes use that much easier. Find it here.
